Character Design: The Thing!! I’ve always had difficulty drawing Ben Grimm, but I really like how this turned out. It’s a bit of Kirby/Simonson/Byrne influenced…I can’t wait for this weekend to finally see a proper Fantastic Four movie!!

(New Artwork) Queer Icon: Mystique (Raven Darkholme)!! X-Men adjacent, mutant…anti-hero!! Intended to be the first queer & gender fluid character in a major comic company (Marvel). Sadly Chris Claremont was forced to make her to be heavily coded instead. Raven has recently FINALLY being allowed to be themselves and have everything they ever wanted… including getting married to her very long time partner, Destiny!!
Character Design: Northstar!! Just playing around with one of my favorite superheroes. Jean-Paul Beaubier is a member of both Alpha Flight/X-Men, is canonically the first out queer heroes from a major comic company (Marvel), and first to marry within its pages!!
Morning Mini-Work: Wolverine!! I did a little drawing of Logan in my sketchbook this morning as a distraction from the work I was supposed to be doing. I think he turned out pretty well for something impromptu. Enjoy!
